My Chapman Family:

My Chapmans are of Cabell and Putnam Counties in West Virginia. I have as far back as John Chapman b. abt 1770 who married a Millie (Possibly Keaton). I descend through his son Benjamin Greenberry Chapman and Elizabeth Conner. Chapman is a very common name in West Virginia.

The American Folk Legend Johnny Appleseed was born John Chapman and a contemporary of my Ancestor John Chapman. Johnny Appleseed's parents were Nathaniel and Elizabeth Chapman from Massachusetts
